Holder of a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
and Integrative Psychopathology at Paris Descartes, I offer psychotherapeutic
support and guidance using an integrative approach. This involves combining
several tools from different psychotherapeutic theories such as the systemic
approach, CBT, EFT, psychodynamic, attachment theory approach.
I conduct my
work in a humanistic and holistic vision in order to promote change and
awareness of one's own functioning with the aim of personal development.
My life experience and my eclectic academic
background between France and Germany allow me to take charge of a wide range
of personal and professional issues.
Specializing
in bereavement support and serious and progressive disease (University Diploma
in Palliative Care completed at Paris Descartes University), I also offer
support for grief-related issues. It is a broad concept which integrates the
phenomena of loss affecting humans throughout life (the loss of a loved one but
also of a job or a relationship).
Many studies demonstrate the effectiveness of remote therapies. Each modality has its advantages and disadvantages. Among the disadvantages of remote consultation, we could mention the impact on non-verbal communication between the patient and the therapist. It is essential that the therapist is aware of such issues and attentive to the quality of his therapeutic presence. It will be his responsibility to promote the therapeutic alliance and it will be up to them have to counterbalance these potential communication gaps with sensory adjustments (such as a particular focus on the tone of voice for example). For years, I have been supporting patients remotely all over the world, which has allowed me to refine my practice and adjust as best as possible to this method of care.
Even if objectively online sessions can be just as effective as a face-to-face session, it is certain that the subjective dimension of the patient is always legitimate and you have to feel comfortable above all!
Psychotherapy is not a trivial process, it works but not for everyone. Every human being has experienced suffering, a psychotherapeutic process can be a way to cathartize it but it involves an investment of time and mental and material resources. Professionalism and clinical experience as well as the theoretical knowledge of the professional allow the patient to develop and integrate suffering in a caring framework.
Therapy is defined as an interactional process between the therapist and his patient. This is why the quality of the therapeutic alliance is a fundamental ingredient for the smooth running of the sessions and the possibility of digging in order to free oneself and then change. The objective of therapy is above all to give power back to the patient, to promote his role as an actor.
No session follows a pre-established pattern. However, the first session has the primary goal of identifying the objective of the follow-up. It is essential to name an objective because it will allow the patient to identify and become aware of what they want to change and his possible resistances.
My life experience and my eclectic academic background between France and Germany allow me to take charge of a wide range of personal and professional issues. In my practice, I combine a Western academic and scientific approach to psychology with its spiritual and existential dimension. What is psychology if not the "science of the soul"?
